Long Term Plan

For 2008-2009 we plan to delivery program to help Cubs achieve:

• Green Star
• Red Star
• Finish off Purple Star - which only a few Cubs achieved in 2007-2008

With a Mi'kmaq elder

• Purple Star A10 - Explore traditions of another culture.
• Aboriginal Awareness Badge

With Jo (an LPN):

• Red Star A6 - take pulse
• Red Star A8 - prevent spreading colds
• Red Star A10 - personal care
• Red Star B1 - discuss effects of tobacco
• Red Star B2 - discuss effects of drug and alcohol abuse

Andrew wants to do these, either at meetings or at camps:

• Green Star A1 - distance estimation
• Green Star A7 - lay, light and put out fire
• Green Star A8 - map reading
• Green Star B1 - 3 hikes
• Green Star B4 - follow a trail
• Green Star B5 - sketch map the campsite
